Successful acquisition of Lioran und Gasteo

Baden-Baden (Germany), November 2022. Die Cesra Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG announces that the acquisition of the Lioran^®, Lioran^® Centra and Gasteo^® brands was completed on October 31.

“By acquiring these successful brands, we have managed to further expand the portfolio of Cesra Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG and thus strengthen our company’s home market in Germany,” sums up Ludger Kornfeld, Managing Director of the pharmaceutical company. In July 2022, Cesra had agreed on the takeover with Andreas Niehaus, the founder of the OTC company Niehaus Pharma from Ingelheim in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

What Cesra and Niehaus have in common is their dedication to successful brand development on a solid medical and pharmaceutical basis. Launching new projects and thinking outside the box is what drives both companies.

“For the love of helping people” – that is the mantra of Cesra Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG, which belongs to the Redel Foundation. Those profits which are not invested back into the organization to maintain the company and secure jobs are used to support humanitarian projects around the world.

“Niehaus Pharma was founded ten years ago to support people’s well-being with effective medicinal products. Selling the leading brands Lioran®, Lioran® Centra, and Gasteo® to Cesra Arzneimittel means that any profits from ‘our herbal medicines’ will also flow into the Redel Foundation in the future,” says Niehaus.
